OUGI demonstrated the XR RIDE tour at the 11th Bus Tech event in the Tokyo metropolitan area

2025.11.5

OUGI Inc. participated and demonstrated The XR RIDE in the 11th Bus Tech in the Tokyo metropolitan area, held at Sea Forest Waterway (in Tokyo) on Friday 31 October 2025. This is an experiential bus event that brings together the latest bus technologies, exhibiting both hardware and software, including the latest domestic and international vehicles and related systems, as well as allowing visitors to test drive some of the vehicles.

At this event, together with Chukyo Auto Body Inc. handling vehicle body upfitting, OUGI exhibited the XR RIDE bus body and demonstrated a special edition of “The Magic Words ‘OSAKA-BEN’ Bus Tour”. The XR bus is based on the vehicle provided by Toyota Motor Corporation and equipped with an in-vehicle system provided by Toyota Boshoku Corporation. Participants were able to experience the spaciousness and comfort of the inside of the XR RIDE bus, and its XR technologies such as transparent displays for windows and front and ceiling displays, as well as 3D sound and seat vibration for immersive AR/VR experience. In addition, participants witnessed the real time communication of a virtual AI bus tour guide with passengers and a human bus tour guide, which are the heart of the XR RIDE tour.

OUGI plans to continue expanding The XR RIDE’s operations and performances across Japan. We welcome inquiries from local governments and business representatives interested in collaborating with the XR RIDE.
Through the application of the XR RIDE, OUGI aims to contribute to the tourism industry in Japan, by working with local partners and stakeholders in Japan to maximize the charms of Japan that are still unknown to many people. We also aim to contribute to the training of tour guides by utilising a remote control virtual AI bus guide to tackle the shortage of local guides and multilingual support. We hope to attract more tourists and encourage them to travel around Japan. We will strive to deliver the “stories in Japan” from all over the country in new forms. Thus, we would like to inform you of our future developments in “The XR RIDE.”
