OUGI supervised the contents of the cultural assets for the “MEGA CANVAS” projection mapping project.

OUGI Inc. supervised the content about the cultural properties for the “MEGA CANVAS” project. The project is for the approximately 132 meters long large-scale projection mapping, cosponsored by General Incorporated Association Kansai Innovation Center (MUIC Kansai) and Osaka Prefectural Government. OUGI contributed to the content creation by KAKUSIN Inc., one of the co-producer of this project.
The “MEGA CANVAS” project will utilize the walls of an existing logistics center (owned by YOKOREI Co., Ltd.,) located next to the venue of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. The project is the first case of the large-scale projection mapping (H: approx. 10m x W: approx. 130m) over public roads. The projection mapping is to be held everyday from 6th June 2025 to 31st October 2025. The project aims to be a successful model case of regional revitalization by utilizing unused walls and spaces not only in Osaka but also across Japan.
The video content of “MEGA CANVAS” project has five themes: Time, Region, Dream, Smile, and Culture. The goals of the project are to accelerate the excitement of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, introduce the uniqueness of Osaka, Kansai region, and Japan, and give opportunities to learn for children and students leading the next generations.
OUGI cooperated in content creation on the theme of “culture” by supervising, with KAKUSIN Inc., one of the co-producers of this project with Naked Inc.. To create contents, the project utilised the high resolution scanned and digitalised data of the Japanese national treasure by collaborating with Kyoto University.

Working with the Kyoto University team, OUGI supervised the production of both cultural properties based on the highlights and historical background of them. In this project, to contribute to the tourism industry in Japan, by reproducing the cultural properties with historical value, OUGI aims to introduce the “real Japan.”
It will be worth seeing the scale and projection content of “MEGA CANVAS” on-site. We recommend you to come and see it, for you to experience the “real Japan” in a new way.
Following this supervising project, OUGI plans to expand our business field to provide experiential tourism where you can feel the “real Japan” as well as tour creation.
