We have exhibited at the International Travel Fairs in Berlin and Paris!

2025.3.18

In March 2025, OUGI exhibited at ITB Berlin 2025 and Salon Mondial du Tourisme Paris 2025 in Paris. It was great to directly interact with European travel agencies and potential tourists to Japan. It was also a great opportunity to widely promote our products and increase awareness of them.

ITB Berlin 2025

ITB Berlin is one of the world leading annual B2B tourism trade fairs in Berlin, Germany. For three days during the event, OUGI exhibited travel products at our booth as a joint exhibitor at the Japan booth.

During the event, we were able to hold multiple business meetings. In addition to travel agencies with advance appointments, there were many walk-in participants who were interested in OUGI. Due to the increasing demand for travel to Japan, there were many travel agencies looking for local DMCs, as well as travel content to both the Golden Route and “Hidden Gems” in Japan. We had contacts with travel agencies based in not only Germany, but also Croatia, Egypt, Georgia, Greece, Poland, etc., showing the growing interest in travel to Japan.

At the OUGI booth, we introduced tours unique to OUGI, which allow participants to experience the charm of Japan, including “The Folklore of KAGURA Kagura Tradition Experience Program.” Overall, we received a good response from travel agencies in various European countries. We were able to directly hear about the opinions on our products and the needs of each company, so we will use them to improve our products. We also had the opportunity for networking with the Japanese travel agencies and DMOs participating in the event. We aim to strengthen the partnership with them as well.

JAPAN NIGHT Tourism x Expo 2025

Along with IBT Berlin 2025, on Tuesday, March 4th, the Embassy of Japan in Germany held “JAPAN NIGHT Tourism x Expo 2025”, a networking event with German media and travel agencies. Since EXPO 2025 Osaka will start in a few months, this event had presentations to re-discover the charms of Japan, focusing on Osaka, Hokkaido, and Nagano. Also, there was the networking session, which was a great opportunity to promote and increase awareness of OUGI and our tours to the participants there.

Salon Mondial du Tourisme Paris 2025

Salon Mondial du Tourisme Paris 2025 is one of the world’s largest annual B2C tourism trade fairs held in Paris, France. OUGI exhibited travel products at our own booth for the four days of the event, as a joint exhibitor at the Japan booth.

Salon Mondial du Tourisme Paris 2025 was filled with a lively and energetic atmosphere, by constant promotions at the stage and the exhibition booths of each country. The visitors of all ages eagerly asked for travel advice and took the brochure with the giveaway and distributed local specialties. Most visitors to OUGI’s booth were interested in the basic tour for popular spots as private tours.

In addition to promotions at the booth, OUGI also promoted our tours on the stage. In the fair, we had two actual French participants in the last October tour “The Folklore of KAGURA” (OUGI’s tour to experience Kagura). The explanation by actual participants particularly attracted a lot of interest, with the unique and innovative tour content. The visitors seemed to be convinced about the high range price of the tour, by the explanation about the rare tour content, tour concept and provided meals.

Considering the feedback in the events, OUGI intends to focus more on sales promotion of our tours, mainly for repeat visitors to Japan, including nurturing the potential customers with the basic information of “kagura” and other Japanese culture. Based on the connections that we had, while boosting the travel industry in Japan, OUGI put more effort into providing experiential tours where the participants can feel the authentic Japan in their own “story in Japan.”
