During their nearly two-week trip to Japan, participants visited a variety of tourist destinations and they said to be very satisfied. In particular, they highly appreciated OUGI’s unique arrangements, such as visits to hidden gems where they could experience tranquility amidst the current problem of overtourism and the wide variety of Japanese cuisine. We visited Shoshazan Engyo-ji Temple (in Hyogo Prefecture) and Eihei-ji Temple (in Fukui Prefecture), and enjoy sushi, takoyaki/okonomiyaki, ramen, yuba, soba, shabu-shabu, and kaiseki cuisine. The following four points, in particular, were frequently highlighted during the tour.

2.A Guide speaking in the local language with Abundant Information

This tour had an interpreter guide who was knowledgeable about Japanese culture and speaks German at a native level. During bus travel, the guide also touched upon aspects of Japanese politics and education. Participants gave feedback that “the guide was easy to talk to and provided a wealth of information.”

3.Detailed arrangements Tailored to customer Needs and Circumstances

During the tour, there were days with rain and the participant’s birthday. While adhering to the original plan, we were able to meet participants’ expectations by flexibly and appropriately managing the itinerary according to the weather and customer needs.

4.Free Time to Reflect on the Experience

Taking into account the characteristics of the participants, OUGI included relaxed free time in the tour itinerary. The participants greatly appreciated the coffee break at the cafe, where everyone had time to reflect on and share their experiences – what they saw, what they felt, and the scenery unfolding before them -.

The request from the German travel company, Kulturen Leben GmbH, was caused by OUGI’s participation in the international travel fair “ITB Berlin 2025” in March 2025. Starting with their company’s representative contacts to us, eventually OUGI arranged the tour as they appreciated OUGI’s meticulous service and planning/coordination capabilities. The tour leader who accompanied the group also highly praised our planning, interpreting/guiding, and itinerary management. They are interested in collaborating with us on future small and medium-sized tours in planning and arranging for interpreters, guides, etc.

Moving forward, OUGI continues to develop and sell unique tours that allow participants to experience “the story of Japan,” while also providing travel experiences that meet the needs of tourists with high standards.
OUGI improves the tour quality based on this tour’s feedback and collaborating with local partners and stakeholders in Japan. We will also guide participants through the “background and appeal of Japanese culture,” and contribute to high participant satisfaction, economic benefits for the visited locations, and the creation of repeat visitors.
