OUGI produced the “KIX Welcome Greeting Show” as an experiential welcome show at the Kansai International Airport

OUGI Inc. is to present the “KIX Welcome Greeting Show” with General Incorporated Association Kansai Innovation Center (MUIC Kansai), as one of the contents of the “OSAKA Satellite EXPO 2025.” It will be held three days per week (every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with some exceptions) from Wednesday 2 July to Friday 31 October 2025 at the Arrivals Lobby in the Kansai International Airport Terminal 1 International.

The “KIX Welcome Greeting Show” will be held at the arrival gate of Kansai International Airport, which is “the beginning point of travel in Japan”. By using a “hospitality” production that maximizes the positive impression of “the first conversation and smile with Japanese people”, the show aims to create an inspiring contact point for inbound tourists to Japan, and enhance the overall experience value of travel in Japan. Specifically, the “KIX Welcome Greeting TEAM” will provide music, smiles, and conversations for arriving travelers. That hospitality unit consists of three members of a musical band and members who can speak foreign languages. The participatory show provides the welcomed experience to travelers, which is memorized longer and more strongly, and consequently will lead travelers to have a higher engagement with Japanese culture and travel again.

This participatory show is also positioned as a “tourism and experience” demonstration project during the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. The show is one of the contents of the OSAKA Satellite EXPO 2025 that will promote the charm of Japan, as well as the show also aims to promote the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan during this project and promote the charm of Kansai. After each show, it is planned to collect the answers of questionnaire and behavioural data from the participants to analyse the psychological engagement to the Japanese culture and the impact on the travel industry. After the project period, in cooperation with Kansai International Airport and the Tourism Bureau, the results will be used for other travel projects in Japan. It is expected to contribute to promote regional tourism and deepen the understanding of local culture and history.

Through this show and the “OSAKA Satellite EXPO 2025” as a whole, OUGI aims for inbound tourists to Japan during the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan to feel the charm of Japan and think to revisit Japan again. While the show itself entertains travelers at the airport, OUGI puts its efforts on the project to contribute to travel in Japan and gives back to the local community.
